What We Produce

Testimonial Video Production, Four Ways

Four formats cover almost every social proof brief. Most sales teams end up using two of them.

Case study videos

The strongest B2B sales tool there is. A narrative-driven walk through problem, solution, and result, combining your client’s interview with footage of your product or service doing the work.

Customer success and review videos

Short, punchy, and honest. Genuine praise from real customers, cut for product pages, email sequences, and the exact moment a prospect is deciding.

Executive and B2B testimonials

When the audience is the C-suite, the production has to match. We light and film senior leaders so they look and sound as credible as their title.

Multi-client sizzle reels

One happy client is a story. Five are a pattern. We cut soundbites from several customers into one high-energy reel that proves your results are consistent.

Featuring your employees to attract candidates rather than customers? That is a recruitment video, and it has its own page. Want praise captured live at a conference? Our event video production covers on-site interviews.

Our Process

How Your Testimonial Video Gets Made

Five steps, two founders watching every one of them. You always know what happens next.

Discovery and brief

We start with the client you want to feature, the prospects you want to convince, and the objection the video needs to answer. That focus shapes the questions we ask on camera.

Client coordination

We handle the logistics with your client directly if you like: scheduling, location, and a short call on what to expect. Asking a client for a favour is easier when the favour is effortless.

The interview

We arrive early, light the room, and roll within minutes of your client sitting down. The conversation runs 20 to 30 minutes, and we capture b-roll of your product or service in use while we are on site.

Edit and review

We shape the strongest soundbites into a story arc, grade the colour, mix the sound, and add captions, then take you through two structured rounds of revisions on Frame.io.

Delivery

Final files in every length and aspect ratio your sales and marketing channels need. You own all of it, outright.

Why Lapse

Why Toronto Companies Choose Lapse Productions

Asking a client to appear in your video is a big favour, so the experience has to be effortless and the result has to make them proud. That is the standard we produce to: your client looks sharp, sounds natural, and gets back to their day in half an hour, and you get social proof that closes deals for years.

We are chameleons: any industry, any product, any customer story. We film testimonials for finance and fintech, education and e-learning, and tech clients, and testimonial work is one part of our full video production services in Toronto.

Founder-led delivery

Dario and Kyrill, the co-founders, run every project personally, from the first call through final delivery. No account managers, no handoffs. Meet the team.

A conversation, not a script

Scripted testimonials read as fake and turn buyers off. Our producers guide a relaxed conversation toward your key messages, so what lands on camera is believable enthusiasm in your client’s own words.

Questions built for a story arc

We do not ask whether they liked the product. We ask about the pain before they found you, the switch, and the results, building the before-and-after arc your prospects recognize themselves in.

B-roll that backs the claims

A talking head alone is easy to dismiss. While we are on site, we film your product or service actually being used, so the visuals prove what the words say.

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we get asked most about testimonial video, answered straight.

How much does a testimonial video cost in Toronto?

Most testimonial video projects at Lapse Productions land between $3,410 and $8,000, driven by the number of interviews, locations, and cutdowns in the edit. A single-client interview at one location sits at the low end, while a multi-client case study series sits higher. There are no fixed packages: you set the scope and we quote our itemized rates against it. Our video production pricing page shows the full rate card, and our guide to what a video costs explains what moves the number.

How do we get a client to agree to appear on camera?

Ask at the right moment and make it effortless. The best time is right after a win, when the results are fresh. From there, we can handle the details with your client directly: a short call on what to expect, a schedule built around their day, and an interview that takes under 30 minutes. Most clients are flattered to be asked and end up enjoying it.

Will the testimonial be scripted?

No, and that is deliberate. Scripted praise reads as fake. Our producers ask questions designed to draw the story out naturally, then we shape the strongest moments in the edit. Rambles, pauses, and stumbles disappear; what remains is your client at their most articulate and genuine.

How long should a testimonial video be?

The sweet spot for a standalone testimonial is 60 to 120 seconds, and an in-depth case study can run two to three minutes. We also cut 15 to 30 second quote clips for social and ads. One interview yields all of these lengths, so every placement gets the right cut.

Where do we film, at our office or the client’s?

Either works, and the client’s location is usually stronger: it is more convenient for them, and it lets us film b-roll of your product or service in their real environment, which makes the story more credible. If that is not practical, we film at your office or a studio and build the visuals around the interview.

Can you film testimonial interviews at our conference or trade show booth?

Yes, and live events are one of the best places to capture them: your customers are already in the room and the energy is real. We film polished interviews on site as part of our event video production and trade show video production coverage, then cut them into standalone testimonials after the show.
