Teleprompter Services in Toronto

Lapse Productions supplies professional teleprompter services across Toronto and the GTA: the rig, a dedicated operator, and, unlike gear-only rental houses, the camera crew to go with it. One team, one booking, one invoice. Your presenter keeps eye contact, holds their pace, and nails the read in far fewer takes.

Our Portfolio

Watch the Work First

Proof beats claims. Six projects from the Lapse Productions portfolio. The best prompter work is invisible: what you see is a presenter who sounds natural and never loses the thread. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.

What We Provide

Teleprompter Services, Four Ways

Four ways Toronto teams use our prompting. Most bookings pair the first with one of the others.

Teleprompter and camera crew together

The thing that separates us from gear-only rental houses: we shoot the video too. Camera, lighting, audio, and prompter arrive as one integrated setup, on one schedule, on one invoice.

Prompter rental with a dedicated operator

A prompter is only as good as the person running it, so every rental includes one. Your operator formats and loads the script, sets the mirror and display, and scrolls live to your presenter’s natural pace.

On-camera prompting for talking-head content

Built for scripted, direct-to-camera work where eye contact matters: executive announcements, founder messages, training content, and scripted explainer videos. Fewer takes, shorter and cheaper shoot days.

Podium and presidential prompting for events

For keynotes, conference speeches, and AGMs, podium-style prompting lets your speaker deliver a polished address while staying connected to the room. A natural fit alongside our event video production.

A prompter keeps scripted delivery natural, but not every format wants a script: client testimonial and recruitment interviews run as unscripted conversations, and we will tell you when prompting is the wrong tool for the job.

Our Process

How Your Teleprompter Shoot Runs

Five steps, two founders watching every one of them. You always know what happens next.

Discovery and brief

We start with the script, the presenter, and the format: on-camera prompting for direct-to-camera work, or podium prompting for a live audience. Then we confirm scope and budget.

Script prep

Send us the script and we format it for readability, load it into the rig, and flag anything that reads awkwardly out loud, before your talent ever sees a camera.

Setup and rehearsal

We arrive early, calibrate the prompter to the exact camera, lens, and framing, and run a rehearsal pass so your presenter finds their pace before the first real take.

The shoot

The operator scrolls live to match your presenter, speeding up, slowing down, and pausing on the fly, and handles script edits between takes. The read never feels rushed.

Delivery

When we shoot the video too, the edit, two revision rounds on Frame.io, and final files in every aspect ratio follow. You own all of it, outright.

Why Lapse

Why Toronto Companies Choose Lapse Productions

A teleprompter is not just a screen with words on it. It is the difference between a confident one-take delivery and a long afternoon of fumbled lines, and we treat prompting as part of the performance rather than a piece of gear bolted onto the day.

We are chameleons: any script, any presenter, any industry. We run prompted shoots for finance and fintech, education and e-learning, and healthcare clients, and teleprompter support is one part of our full video production services in Toronto.

Founder-led delivery

Dario and Kyrill, the co-founders, run every project personally, from the first call through final delivery. No account managers, no handoffs. Meet the team.

One team for crew and prompter

Most Toronto prompter companies hand you equipment and leave the filming to someone else. We do both, so the prompter is calibrated to the exact camera, lens, and framing we are shooting with. No compatibility surprises, no finger pointing between two crews.

A real operator, not just a stand

The hardware is the easy part; a natural read is the craft. Our operators match scroll speed to your talent in real time, handle last-minute script edits between takes, and keep first-time presenters relaxed and on pace.

Professional gear on the lens axis

Our main rig is the Elgato Prompter XL: a high-brightness display behind beam-splitter glass, directly on the lens axis. Your presenter makes genuine eye contact down the barrel of the camera, not the off-to-the-side look a phone-clip app produces.

Answers

Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we get asked most about teleprompter services, answered straight.

How much do teleprompter services cost in Toronto?

Prompting is priced as a half-day or full-day add-on to your shoot, driven by duration, the number of presenters, and whether you need on-camera or podium prompting. Most clients bundle it into a Lapse Productions filming day for the best value, and full projects that include prompting typically land between $3,410 and $8,000. Our video production pricing page shows the full rate card, and our guide to what a video costs explains what moves the number.

Can you provide a videographer and a teleprompter together?

Yes, and it is our specialty. Because Lapse Productions is a full video production company, the camera crew, lighting, audio, and a teleprompter with an operator arrive as one coordinated booking. You skip the headache of syncing a separate rental house with your crew’s schedule.

Do you provide a teleprompter operator, or just the equipment?

Both, always. Every rental includes a dedicated operator who formats and loads your script, sets up the unit, and scrolls live to match your presenter’s pace. We never drop off bare gear and leave you to figure it out.

What teleprompter equipment do you use?

Our primary rig is the Elgato Prompter XL: a professional, high-brightness display mounted behind beam-splitter glass on the camera’s lens axis. It gives talent true eye contact with the lens, sets up quickly on location, and runs reliably for full shoot days.

Will our presenter look natural reading from a prompter?

Yes, with the right support. We format the script for how people actually speak, run a rehearsal pass before rolling, and pace the scroll to your presenter rather than forcing them to chase it. Most first-timers settle in within a take or two. Our teleprompter guide walks your talent through everything before shoot day.

Do you prompt live events and keynotes as well as video shoots?

Yes. We provide podium-style presidential prompting for keynotes, conference speeches, and AGMs, so your speaker delivers a polished address while staying connected to the room. If you want the session filmed as well, our event video production team covers it in the same booking.
