How fast can we get photos back for social media?
We understand the speed of business. We offer Same-Day “Sizzle” Delivery (a curated gallery of 20–50 highlights) within 4 hours of your event’s conclusion for immediate press releases and LinkedIn posts. The full edited gallery is typically delivered within 5–7 business days.
Do you have experience shooting at major Toronto convention centres?
Yes. We are familiar with the load-in logistics and lighting conditions at major venues like the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC), Enercare Centre, and Beanfield Centre. We are registered with systems like Voyage Control for dock access, ensuring we are set up and ready well before your doors open.
Can you handle low-light venues without distracting flash?
Absolutely. We use professional full-frame cameras with “fast” lenses designed for low-light performance. This allows us to capture gala dinners and keynotes discreetly, preserving the atmosphere of the room without being intrusive.
Can you bring a studio setup to our office?
Yes, we bring the studio to you. Our Mobile Headshot Studio fits into a standard 10×10 conference room. We bring professional lighting, backdrops (White, Grey, or Black), and tethering equipment so your team can review their images instantly on a monitor.
Do we need a permit for outdoor headshots in Toronto?
It depends on the location. While handheld shooting is often permitted, using tripods or light stands at private locations like The Distillery District, Union Station, or The Well requires a commercial permit. We can handle the permit application process for you or suggest permit-free locations nearby.
What is the difference between “Standard Polish” and “Retouching”?
All our delivered images receive a Standard Polish (color correction, exposure balancing, and cropping). Retouching is a deeper process included with our headshot packages, which covers skin smoothing, blemish removal, and stray hair reduction to ensure a polished, professional look.
Do you charge travel fees for shoots outside downtown Toronto?
Our standard rates cover photography within the core GTA (Toronto, Etobicoke, North York, Scarborough). Locations outside this zone (e.g., Mississauga, Brampton, Markham, Hamilton) may incur a standard travel fee to cover mileage and time.
How far in advance do we need to book?
We recommend booking 2–4 weeks in advance to secure your date and allow time for shot-list planning. However, we know business moves fast—if you have a last-minute request, please reach out. We can often accommodate urgent timelines.
Do you provide RAW files?
Typically, we do not deliver RAW files as they are unfinished data. We pride ourselves on delivering a finished product that represents our brand’s quality. However, for internal marketing teams that require RAW assets for composite work, we can discuss a “Buy-Out” license fee.
Do we own the rights to the photos?
Yes. Upon final payment, Lapse Productions grants you full commercial usage rights. You are free to use the images on your website, LinkedIn, print materials, and ads without paying recurring licensing fees.
